Jose Martinez is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy High School. Med build with an athletic frame with good present strength and room to continue to fill out. Primary right handed pitcher, longer, loose arm action from a three quarter slot and extension down the mound. Fastball worked 82-85 mph with arm side life and showed good glove side mechanics. Mixed speeds well with an 11-5 shaped hard slider at 78 mph that he slowed his arm for slightly. Changeup at 77 with slight fade and deception with replicated arm speed. Worked in his lower half, but could have more with additional torque and firing downhill. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
