Jack Dooley is a 2017 1B/OF, 3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Wilton, CT who attends Wilton High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 5.21 40-yard dash. Primary first baseman, short arm action through the back with quickness to arm, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across with solid arm strength, deliberate pace to actions. Similar arm strength from the outfielder, short arm action with a tight release from ear, mostly upper body at release and projects with continued lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a simple load of weight through lower half. Shifts well into contact and remains balanced through swing with line drive plane. Incorporates physical strength well and shows big jump off the barrel and has ability to work gap-to-gap with sound bat speed. Good student.
