Jared Nelson is a 2015 C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Jefferson, WI who attends Jefferson HS. Medium frame, thin athletic build with remaining physical projection. Impressive ability to receive, move and block behind the plate. Stood out in games, confident defensive catcher, threw out several runners in games, solid arm strength with carry on throws and quick transfer. Hits from a spread stance, contact oriented approach, lets hands work, aggressive swing. Good student, named to the National Underclass Session 1 top prospect team.
