Carmine Palummo is a 2016 2B/SS with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Chester, NY who attends St Joseph. Medium, athletic frame, young look, lean build with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, moves well on his feet, charges in well with ability to complete the play, stays low throughout, longer release, shows arm strength and it will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a high hand set with a high back elbow. Direct path to the ball with his hands, keeps weight back well with a small shift into contact, shows a quick bat with line drive contact to the middle of the field, smooth swing, gets barrel through the zone, long finish to swing. Very good student.
