Mark Williams, Jr is a 2018 OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Mt Carmel HS. Medium frame with high-waisted build and good projection throughout. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with significant barrel tip in load, smaller stride into swing, stays online with hips well and does a good job of engaging lower half. Shows good bat speed on lofted plane, torques well in hips and shows the ability to drive the ball into the air with authority. Worked up both gaps at times, good quickness to hands overall. Worked out in the outfield, fields cleanly with full stop to momentum, gets going again and shows clean footwork through crow hop, longer arm stroke, arm strength clocked up to 72 mph. Good student.
