Marcus Calamese is a 2015 OF/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Cimarron-Memorial. Large frame, lean athletic build, projectable strength gains. Hits from an open stance, crowds the plate, lets hands work in swing, strong at contact, ball carries well off the bat and with more lower half incorporation to swing can generate big raw power. Good defensive energy with a high motor, arm works well and projects, solid arm strength throwing from over the top slot. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
