Gabriel Bassil is a 2015 3B/1B, OF, RHP with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Bay Ridge Prep. Extra-large, athletic frame with a strong, mature build. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, throws from a short arm action, fields well out front and has strength and carry on throws across. Moves well on his feet in the outfield, big crow hop with a full arm circle. Shows nice footwork off the first base bag, stays down on the ball well with a strong arm across. Left-handed batter, starts with an open stance and a sound approach in the box. Long swing, generates bat speed with strength, ball comes off the barrel well, shows ability to hit to all fields, dips back side at times, creates lift in swing. Very good student.
