James Simmons is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. Medium, lean build with athleticism. Has good footspeed, ran a 6.9 60-yard dash. Right handed hitter, starts with high hand set, drops hands in load. Keeps hands inside the ball and shows ability use the entire field. Could get extended more consistently but does solid job of repeating approach, flashes hard contact to opposite field. Primary outfielder, flashes good fundamentals, could charge balls more aggressively. Online, accurate throws withe developing arm strength. Very good student.
