Jacob Vasquez is a 2015 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs HS. Shorter athletic build with some present strength. Primary infielder but grades out better as a pitcher with a higher ceiling. Fast paced delivery with lots of deception, compact quick arm action, 3/4's arm slot. Mid-80's fastball with big running and tailing life to it. Outstanding feel for his curveball, can change the shape and speed and get big downer life or sharp 11/5 life with intent. Knows how to pitch and has the stuff and deception to do so at the college level. 7.08 runner, athletic actions in the middle infield, hands are soft and his feet work well at the ball, showed his arm strength. Right handed hitter, short line drive swing, keeps his hands short and tight to the ball, handled the barrel well and made consistent spray line drive contact. Good student. Graded out as a primary pitcher.
