Tyler Grigalis is a 2018 C/1B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lexington Catholic. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 6.96 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the baseball well with soft hands throughout the zone. Gains ground while working out of crouch with quick footwork. Clean, smooth paced glove to hand exchanges while working through transfer. Loose arm action while throwing to the bag topping at 77 mph, best workout pop time of 2.00. Left handed hitter with and upright, open stance and leg lift trigger. Smooth, fluid uphill swing plane with clean actions through extension. Creates some linear actions with shift from lower half. Primarily used a mid-field to pull approach with ability to drive the baseball through the gaps when squared. Tools will continue to develop with physical development and repetition.
