Tate Meade is a 2018 RHP/3B, 1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Williamsport, KY who attends Johnson Central. Medium frame, athletic build with broad shoulders, good present strength with some room to continue filling out. Well-paced delivery with backside load at apex of leg lift. Compact arm action works to a tight high 3/4's arm slot. Shows some energy at release, lands open at times with lean to first base side occasionally. Ran fastball up to 83 mph, fastball shows good downhill angle with occasional cutting action. Showed good ability to spot fastball to either side of the plate. Flashes feel for curveball, offering has good depth and tight rotation in the upper-60s. Has an idea how to pitch and was very effective with his ability to spot the ball. Has good tools for his age, should be an interesting player to watch develop. Good student. Named to the Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
