Sean Cubley is a 2015 C/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Clear Lake HS. Strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. Very good raw arm strength from a long arm action, can quicken exchange/release for faster pop times, 2.00 best pop, young receiving skills with the glove. Right handed hitter, long and strong swing with some lift to the middle of the field, has strength at contact, stays balanced, has hitting tools to develop with shorter mechanics. Also pitched and showed promise on the mound. Good balance and direction to his delivery, long extended arm action, fastball topped out at 84 mph with occasional arm side running life. Curveball flashed tight rotation and good 11/5 depth, commanded curveball well and showed some pitchability and an idea on the mound. Follow as a two-way prospect. Good student.
