Jared Burrell is a 2017 OF/1B with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Martinsville, VA who attends Bassett HS. Has a big mature build with present signs of athleticism. Physically mature for his age. 7.47 runner. From the outfield, had solid accurate throws from a wrapped arm action reaching up to 80 MPH. Developing footwork and actions. At the plate, right handed hitter that starts with an open stance. Has an upper cut load with a big bat wrap. Swing is rotational and is on a line drive swing plane. Makes solid contact, flashes signs of raw strength. Mainly pull contact with ability to generate good backspin on the baseball. Developing timing with the lower half. Good student.
