Roberto J. Alegria is a 2015 2B/RHP/C with a 5-9 225 lb. frame from Donna, TX who attends Donna HS. Primary position player but grades out much higher on the mound. Long arm action from a rotational delivery, 3/4's arm slot, stays closed well but tends to land open out front. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, lots of adding and subtracting on fastball velocity, gets nice 2-seam running action at times. Tends to get under curveball giving it a flat 10/4 sweeping action, rare change up with slower arm speed. Catcher best position in the field, shows balance and a strong arm behind the plate, can improve foot quickness with work and conditioning. Right handed hitter, long extended rotational swing, pull approach, flashes pull power on his pitch.
