Ryan Depperschmidt is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Shady Shores, TX who attends Lake Dallas HS. Large frame with long limbs and an athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 6.88 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, fluid footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while working through pick up. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 88 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and high back elbow set. Loose path to contact with a level, line drive plane through extension. Flashed solid bat speed and strength at contact that produced hard, loud contact when squared. Primarily worked to the middle of the field throughout batting practice with the intent to lift. Also pitched showing a large rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some heaviness through the lower half of the zone with occasional run, topped at 80 miles per hour. Released curveball from a high slot producing 12/6 shape with limited spin and some depth. Looked to fill the zone and showed the feel to work to both sides of the plate with fastball. Excellent student.
