Justin Alphonse is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge. Large, broad shouldered frame with nice present strength throughout. Ran a 7.95 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows a quick transfer on throws across the infield with present strength, works through the ball, getting on top will create consistent carry. Solid footwork around first in game, hands play and picks ball in dirt, sound actions coming off. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open base and square stance in the box. Upper body swing with a small leg lift trigger, uses an up the middle approach and executes with contact into center field. Gets the barrel to the ball consistently with line drive swing plane, occasionally gets to front side early. Very good student.
