Liam Gray is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Barrie, ON who attends Innisdale HS. Small frame with a thin, projectable build. Room to fill out. Ran a 7.33 60 yard dash. Long arm action from the outfield, short strides to the ball, quick transfer and release on throws, shows some present arm strength. On the mound Gray throws from an over the top arm slot, shows a short arm action, gets on top of the ball well. Fastball topped at 77, occasional arm side run, and slider shows nice shape, hard spin at 69 mph. Right handed batter who starts with a low hand set, shows a short swing with some bat speed, doesn't shift weight through lower half, gets barrel through zone. Very good student.
