Zachary Gidley is a 2015 C/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard North HS. Slender young build, some developing strength, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, wide base, big movement on load, busy hands with big eye level shift, will need to simplify his approach for more consistency, swings hard with quick hands and has some bat speed, aggressive early count hitter, line drive swing plane, squared the ball up well, projects some power with better extension out front. Low flexible set up behind the plate, good lower half quickness and shifting ability, tends to receive the ball with a stiff arm, developing arm strength, can improve footwork and balance on release. Good student.
