Brian Nicolas is a 2018 SS/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Langhorne, PA who attends Neshaminy High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout body. Strong runner, posted a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps ranging to backhand, fields the ball well out front and takes an extra step at release, stays low working through the ball, lower arm slot at release but accurate across with carry out of hand. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow stance and uses a small toe tap trigger in the box. Medium hand set, does a nice job of staying inside the ball and shows a feel for the barrel, performed well against live pitching with solid contact coming to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Strength plays in swing, upper body swing but remains balanced throughout, shows nice power potential moving forward too. Very good student.
