Nicholas Lamari is a 2017 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Yonkers, NY who attends Fordham Preparatory. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, short steps moving towards the ball with a sound first step, fields the ball out front and shows athleticism to actions, works through exchange well and shows ability to throw on the run. Also pitched, works from a tight and high three-quarters arm slot, gathers well at balance point and utilizes a short stride down the mound. Gets down the mound quickly, generates occasional downhill plane to fastball that topped 72 mph. Flashed a straight changeup at 64 mph and a curveball 10-4 shape. Righthanded hitter, beings with a slightly open, bent knee stance and a high back elbow in the box. Generates lift to swing path and looks to elevate, comes off the barrel well to the middle and pull side parts of the field when squared off the barrel. Strides open with front side, full swing, keeps the barrel in the zone and is able to hit the ball out front with some extension at contact, best carry came to pull side. Excellent student.
