Pedro Santos is a 2016 RHP with a 6-0 167 lb. frame from Caguas, PR. Slender young broad shouldered build, lots of room to get stronger. Japanese style multi-part delivery with a big pause over the rubber, has limited lower half turn but larger upper half turn, will occasionally drift from the pause and get his body ahead of his arm, drop and drive mechanics to the plate. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets good sink down in the zone but tends to flatten and lack plane up in the zone. Change up is a good pitch with similar life, can get cut or run on change up depending on hitter, can throw his change up more often. Tends to lower his elbow on his curveball release with soft spin on some 12/6 depth on occasion. Has an idea how to pitch and will pitch to spots and sequence.
