Osvaldo Berrios Flores is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half, young face and very projectable physically. Big leg raise delivery, long and very loose arm in back, whippy arm action coming through, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, more velocity there as he matures, lots of running and sinking life, gets his velocity very easily, maintained velocity from the stretch, showed the ability to get to both sides of the plate with his fastball. Will need to improve his breaking ball, soft slider with a light sweeping break, gets under the pitch at release. He will throw very hard one day, improvement in his secondary pitches will determine his ceiling. Good student, verbal commitment to Alabama State.
