Jeanluis Torres is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends Eloisa Pascaul. Large frame with very good physicality, very strong throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.13 seconds. Sets up to hit with high back elbow, inverted front foot in toe tap, really good strength through swing, went to all fields with authority on a line. Very good bat speed throughout, has real power as well. Worked out in the outfield, moves well for size and shows athleticism through movements, fielded cleanly and showed off excellent arm strength, clocked up to 90 mph. Pitched as well, small side step into delivery, full arm stroke through the back, quick arm to three quarters slot, fastball worked 79-83 mph with some cutting action to glove side. Very good student; named to 2017 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
