Gerardo Astor is a 2015 RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Slow paced delivery, arm works well, high 3/4's arm slot, can extend better out front on release. Low 80's fastball, best velocity late in his outing, topped out at 84 mph, move velocity in his arm, fastball pretty straight at present. Slurve type breaking ball with sweeping 10/4 shape, flashes good biting action but will hang as well, tends to cut off breaking ball out front. Has the tools to keep improving.
