Bryan Montanez is a 2019 OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian Academy. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.73 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with deliberate actions, full arm action with longer release out of glove, fuller arm action through the back with on line release, takes short and quick steps to the ball. Switch hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box from the left side. Utilizes a leg lift trigger fort timing, swings with intent and able to generate extension out front, occasionally opens front side early on swing. Similar stays from the right side, high hand set and back elbow, stays linear through the zone and incorporates physical strength, shows carry off the barrel when squared. Good student.
