Christian Leonard is a 2016 C/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Lafayette, LA who attends St Thomas More HS. Strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, very spread stance, toe twist trigger, low hands with a wrapped barrel start but has the strength to work through it, good direct hand path to the ball, creates bat speed with a line drive swing plane, solid pull contact with some gap power. Big arm strength behind the plate, on line throws with carry and accuracy, long actions in release with a big step to second base, good overall athleticism behind the plate. 7.24 runner, also showed the ability to play third base well with good footwork and easy actions.
