Parker Dondlinger is a 2016 OF/C with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Mason City, IA who attends Newman Catholic. Athletic, medium frame with present strength and good physical projection. Hits from open, narrow stance with big leg lift trigger. Takes inside swing path to baseball, consistently sprays baseballs on line to center-left center field. Line drive swing plane with quick hands and simple overall mechanics. Will drive the baseball once he adds strength. Will occasionally pull through too far inside and lack plate coverage on the outside edge as a result. Worked out in the outfield during defensive drills. Showed loose, clean arm action with good present strength, topping out at 80 MPH on throws. Arm action projects for more velocity. Fielded cleanly with deliberate footwork. Ran 7.27 60 yard dash. Good student.
