Tommy Twomey is a 2018 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Large frame with solid present build and good athletic projection moving forward. Pitches with short arm action up to 3/4 slot, hip coil at balance point with high leg lift, showed command of all pitches to all four quadrants of the strike zone. Uses lower half well in delivery. Fastball worked in the 78-79 range with good arm side run and downhill plane. Shows good feel for CB, pitch has 12/6 shape with good depth and projectable spin. Flashed straight changeup in the mid 60's with deceptive arm speed. Hits from squared stance with good extension through contact, showed ability to pull and lift the ball, swing can get long but has projectable offensive tools. Was comfortable around the bag at 1B with solid hands and good footwork. Very good student.
