Jake Moberg is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 6-2 184 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Vista Murrieta HS. Tall athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a deep hand load and drop, hand load gets his timing off at times, has good hand quickness and bat speed, line drive swing plane, contact to all fields, gets separation and shows his power potential. 7.06 runner, third base actions defensively in the infield, can throw from multiple arm slots, stays balanced and has sound fundamental footwork. Also pitched, gets good sinking life on an 88=90 mph fastball from a 3/4's arm slot. Short slider with good sharpness, developing change up. Versatile player with polished actions on the field. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
