Casey Keller is a 2016 RHP/3B/C with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Berkeley Prep. Slender young build, has some strength in his hips and lower half. Sound delivery mechanics, uses his lower half well to generate power to the plate, clean arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, gets good cutting action at times and can spot to both sides of the plate. Very good secondary pitches, curveball has tight spin with sharp 12/6 downer action at times, gets nice sink and run on a firm change up. Commands all three pitches well and knows how to set up hitters. Potential two-way prospect as a catcher, has sound footwork and athletic actions, shows his arm strength well and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, tends to lean back and swing up to the ball, long sweeping swing, should improve as a hitter with additional strength. Good student.
