Owen Walker is a 2015 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Homewood, AL who attends Homewood. Walker has a medium sized frame with some present strength. Defensively he has good arm strength from behind the plate with velocity up to 78 MPH. He throws with a long arm action and he has good carry on his throws. Walker gains ground on his pop throws with a longer stride and release. At the plate, Walker starts with a wide stance and uses a rock back load to start his swing. He has a handsy swing and maintains good balance through his swing. Walker stays short to the ball and looks to stay inside the ball. He swings on a flat path and he showed some bat speed. Very good student.
