Benjamin Kimbrough is a 2016 LHP with a 5-6 138 lb. frame from Hartselle, AL who attends Hartselle HS. Short slender build, plenty of room to get stronger. High leg raise delivery, stays balanced over the rubber, short stride out front, tall cross body release, high 3/4's arm slot, fairly low effort release. Aggressive with his fastball and throws it to spots, can elevate it above barrels with intent, steady upper 70's velocity, creates angle with his delivery and gets late run and sink. Tends to slow arm and change slots on off speed pitches, gets good spin and depth on curveball but will have to develop consistency for higher level hitters to avoid tipping pitches. Keeps hitters off balance and pitches to weak contact, has an idea what he's doing on the mound.
