Quintaryus Bournes is a 2017 OF/ with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Apopka. Medium, compact frame with sturdy, mature build, present strength. Right handed hitter, upright even stance. Limited weight shift, likes to hit off of backside, will dip and try to lift the ball. Patient approach, flashes strength off of the barrel when squared. Compact hand path, uphill plane, developing feel for barrel, best contact back up the middle, needs to show more consistent extension in swing in order to tap into strength. Aggressive to ball in outfield, can get too loose with footwork, developing arm strength with whippy arm-action, up to 73 mph from right field in defensive drills. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Very good student.
