Lawrence Lara is a 2023 RHP/C, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 194 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Stony Point. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.37 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, length to arm stroke through the back, belt-high leg lift, good stride length, solid arm speed to high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 79-82 mph with good life through zone, mixes in curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth, solid strikes. Hits from spread, even stance with leg lift trigger, rotational in lower half, mostly middle field approach with lower launch liners, can turn on the ball with authority and has power pull-side. Worked out at 1st base, turns well and shows off the arm, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Excellent student.
