Lloyd Dominguez is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-6 210 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace HS. Large frame with a lean, athletic build with room to fill out. Primary pitcher with a short, compact delivery. The delivery is very balanced and repeatable. Throws with very little effort and has a clean arm action; throws from a high three-quarter arm slot. Clears his lower half well and lands online toward the plate. Lower half is a bit inconsistent but he carries his weight and momentum toward the plate well. Attacked hitters with the fastball, which sat 82-85 mph and topped out at 86 mph. The pitch had some downward action and has good life through the zone. Challenged hitters with the fastball over the inner half of the plate and showed solid command of the strike zone. Mixed in a curveball in the upper-60s but didn't throw it often. Great student.
