Carson Lambert is a 2018 RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Thousand Oaks, CA who attends Newbury Park HS. Big square shouldered build, good present strength with more to come, young look in his features. Compact arm action with a quick loose arm. Fastball in the 89-91 mph range, steady velocity, mostly straight, developed more sink and run as he threw more, worked down well in the zone and looked to locate, topped out at 86 at a PG event last August so has taken a big step forward. Has nice feel for his secondary pitches, curveball has some tightness and bite, maintains arm speed on his change well. Has a very good chance to keep improving, follow closely next spring. Good student,, verbal commitment to Southern California.
