Patrick Vandenbergh is a 2019 C/MIF, UT with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Nashville, TN who attends Ensworth. Medium build, square shoulders with compact and projectable frame. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the baseball out in front gaining ground into throws with momentum towards second base, fuller arm action getting on top of throws, 1.93 best pop. Also took reps in the infield, waits back on baseball, showed clean actions with glove, soft hands, good footwork leading into throws, would like to see feet set on throws, developing arm strength. Lefthanded hitter, even base with an open stance, high back elbow, short and quick hand path, handles the barrel pretty well, downward barrel plane with some ability to lift, would like to see some strength added to produce harder contact and power. Good student.
