Bryson Hill is a 2017 3B/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Saginaw High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders, a high waist and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman but graded out higher on the mound in this look. Does a nice job of getting tall on backside with a hip turn at top and finishes on line towards the plate. Full and loose arm action coming through the back and works to a three-quarters slot. Short stride with effort at release but showed command to either side of plate with fastball that topped 84 mph, short running life to arm side and able to induce weak contact. Shows depth to curveball at 70 mph and has the comfort to throw in any count. Short steps moving around the infield, glove plays well at the ball, creates momentum and fields the ball out front, compact arm action and gets on top, shows accuracy across. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high back elbow in the box. Upper body dominant swing, simple mechanics in the box and does a nice job of repeating them. Short stroke path to the ball and shows quickness to both the hands and barrel, works all fields and shows a sound contact approach. On time with leg lift trigger, creates some separation and projects nicely with additional lower half. Very good student.
