William Bowden is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Palm Bay, FL who attends Heritage HS. Tall slender athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. Sound delivery mechanics with a clean arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, works downhill well. Steady upper 70's fastball, have seen up to 84 mph earlier this summer, mostly straight but thrown to spots, has good fastball command and works ahead in counts. Short soft slurve type breaking ball, tends to keep wrist cocked during delivery which could impact ability to impart hard spin on the ball. Flashed a developing change up. 7.19 runner who showed good athleticism and arm strength in the outfield, works thru the ball well with sound footwork and mechanics. Right handed hitter, loose long swing with the beginnings of some bat speed, has some lift in his swing and gap power potential, had a patient game approach and took good game swings.
