Ty Robinson is a 2017 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Hoover HS. Slender young athletic build, long limbed look, plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, short and direct swing, hits under control with sound mechanics, inside hand path but not exaggerated and can make barrel adjustments, high average/high contact approach that will develop as he gains strength. 7.45 runner, long and loose arm action, plays both infield and outfield and likely profiles best in the outfield as he matures physically. Also pitched, long arm circle, good lower body mechanics with some drive to the plate, mid-70's fastball, maintains arm speed on change up well, tends to slow arm on curveball. Bat is his tool and getting stronger is the key. Very good student.
