LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2006 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Danny Lazzaroni is a 2007 OF with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Roswell GA, who attends Lassiter HS. He has a live athletic body with well conditioned strength. Lazzaroni has good overall speed (6.92 60) and quick actions. He was regularly around 4.3 down to first base from the right side and looks like he can steal a base and stretch hits. Lazzaroni showed an accurate, strong arm from the outfield from a balanced short release. He doesn't list any secondary positions on his PG profile but one wonders if he has the aptitude to play in the infield, as he has tools to profile better at second base. Offensively, Lazzaroni hits from open, balanced stance and has an upper body rotational hitting style. He does a good job of keeping his hands short to the ball and sprayed hard line drives to the gaps. He showed better bat speed and ability to drive the ball against live pitching rather than in BP, which is always good to see. He has some bat speed and his quick twitch muscles let him get the bat head to the ball well. Lazzaroni has a good approach to the game and plays hard. He is a good student.
