Brendan Ezell is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Heritage Hall HS. Medium, athletic frame with a broad shoulders and physically strong build with strength throughout. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate and receives nicely out front, short arm action, gets on top of throws well and shows arm strength and accuracy down to second base, incorporates lower half into release. Short and quick arm action from the outfield with a tight release, short steps to the ball, fields out front and shows strength on throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter, starts wit ha wide base and high hand set. Upper body swing and stays inside the ball well, incorporates strength into swing and is able to generate lift at contact. Gets the barrel to the ball and shows carry coming off, creates sound contact to middle of the field and shows ability to hit to all fields with comfort going to the opposite field. Good student.
