Jimmy Crabtree is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Utica, OH who attends Utica HS. Strong and sturdy athletic build, pretty mature physically. Busy hands in his delivery, high 3/4's arm slot that will vary with hand inconsistency, can simplify. Fastball topped at 84 mph, gets good sink and late life down in the zone. Topped out at 90 at past PG tournaments. Has good feel for his change up, bit slower arm speed but gets similar life and action to his fastball,. Soft curveball with an 11/5 shape. Ground ball pitcher who will depend on command for future success. Verbal commitment to Kent State.
