Luis DeLeon is a 2017 SS/IF/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Providence, RI who attends Moses Brown HS. Medium frame with good athleticism presently on the build. Ran a 6.63 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, showed solid footwork and some arm strength. Graded out better as an outfielder. Compact arm action with good carry on throws. Athleticism played well in the outfield with a clean delivery and transfer. Mechanics repeat pretty well and has very good arm strength evidenced by his recorded throw speed of 85 mph. Raw bat speed at the plate with a pull approach. Generated some loud contact and drove the ball well to the pull side off the barrel of the bat. Has power in swing with the ability to impact the ball well. Named to the 2016 World Uncommitted Top Prospect List. Good student.
