Omar Jimenez is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Orlando, FL. Compact, young frame with broad shoulders, athletic build. Left handed pitcher, energetic delivery with hip turn at top of leg lift, presents numbers to hitters. Energy in delivery, works to a 3/4's arm slot with a slight cross body release. Fastball up to 78 mph, shows late life down in the strike zone, attacks the strike zone. Compact arm-action, has some deception, mixes in a curveball, developing feel for pitch. Also flashes rare changeup, solid armspeed on offering. Good mound presence, competes well. Also plays outfield. Left handed hitter, slightly open and upright stance. Active hand trigger, moving parts in swing, shows solid use of lower half, timing and coordination. Flashes ability to get extended, solid line-drive contact to the pullisde.
