Braelen Bridges is a 2017 LHP with a 6-7 189 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Union Grove HS. Very tall and slender build with lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Long and loose arm circle in back, 3/4's arm slot and creates downhill angle and stays on top of the ball well, good balance and direction in his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, threw his fastball to both sides of the plate with intent and maintained his velocity well, gets arm side running action. Curveball has sweeping shape with some depth and sharpness when released correctly but still not completely consistent here. Lots of things working well, just a matter of getting stronger and adding more power to his pitches. Good student.
