Lukas Cook is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Hardin Valley. Big and strong athletic build. 6.75 runner, long strides, versatile defensive player with third base/right field tools, plenty of raw arm strength with carry, long and loose arm stroke, has some quickness to his hands in feet. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread bent knee stance that tends to lock up his lower half, has loose hands and a long and strong swing, looking to pull the ball and get it in the air, has the strength to continue to develop as a hitter with adjustments. Two-way prospect, was up to 93 mph on the mound from a tight high 3/4's arm stroke, short stride down the mound with some effort at release, reliever delivery profile. Has a nice change up for his secondary pitch, has nice diving action down in the zone. Verbal commitment to South Carolina.
