Gabriel Trastoy is a 2017 C/IF with a 5-10 184 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep HS. Has broad shoulders, strength and size to build. Posted an 8.09 second sixty yard dash. from behind the plate, has good footwork and use of his lower half putting himself in a good position to throw. Had quick transfers and release into strong and accurate throws down to second. From the infield, works well through the baseball and also showed off his quick transfer skills and glove work. From the left side of the plate, has an easy load and weight shift, hand path is good to the baseball, flashed raw strength. From the right side, has a higher hand set and again had an easy weight shift. Ball comes solid off the barrel, strength is present. Good student.
