Stephen Bako is a 6-0, 180 lb senior right handed pitcher from Canada. He throws from a high 3/4's release point with some backwards lean of his upper body in his delivery. His arm action is long and loose, especially out front on release. Bako's fastball was mostly 82-83 mph early and he pitched consistently to the outside half of the plate to right handed hitters with his fastball. His best secondary pitch was a 72 mph change up that had very good sink when down and Bako showed a lot of confidence in this pitch. His 69 mph curveball had 12/6 break and could develop into a nice weapon for him as well. Bako tended to work slowly and pick around the corners and might benefit from being more aggressive early in the count. He's a young pitcher with a loose arm who should be able to pick up some more velocity as he gets stronger.
