Ferwiam Balado is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Rio Grande, PR. Medium frame with solid athleticism and high physical projection moving forward. Hits from wide, squared stance with toe tap trigger and high hand set. Rotational swing with some back shoulder dip, consistent contact to the middle of the field, shorter to the ball and shows ability to spray line drives to all fields. Ran 4.50 from home to 1st in game. Works around the ball well and fields out in front in the outfield. Good accuracy on solid throws, topping at 72 MPH and showing good footwork. Pitched as well, showing easy and repeatable mechanics with advanced strike-throwing ability. FB ranged 67-71 with good arm side run; really advanced feel for changeup with deception, fade, and maintained arm speed. Ran a 6.92 60 yard dash.
